Motor City Blight Busters thrives because of the passionate efforts of our volunteers.  From individuals helping out on a Saturday afternoon to multinational corporations, each of our partners bring unique talents to the Blight Busters team.  We pride ourselves on providing an avenue for these unique and valuable skills to further the cause of breaking down barriers and creating beauty where it previously didn’t exist.

Passionate individuals using their unique talents inspire even more partners to join the cause and reap the benefits of making a difference in our community.  We have provided a few details on the more common ways to get involved below – if your talents fall outside these categories, call us!  We’re confident we can find a place for you on the Blight Busters team!

Volunteering

  • People power is the engine that drives Blight Busters!  Whether its arranging a large community beautification project as a team-building exercise for your company or matching your individual skills with our one of our ongoing projects, we’re committed to finding great opportunities for you to challenge yourself.

Property and Supplies

  • From real estate to tools, Blight Busters finds the right place for any donation of property or supplies.  Your donations are tax deductible, and we enjoy sharing with our donors how their contributions are being used on an ongoing basis.  What that means to donors is a tax deduction for their property that may be worth more to them than the resale value of that property.

Donate a Car

  • The Automobile Built This City!  Help Us Rebuild The Neighborhoods Too! We handle all the paperwork including the IRS donation forms. Free towing in the Tri-County Area (Wayne, Oakland & Macomb County). (Towing available outside the Tri-County Area for a minimal charge.)
  • Blight Busters Is A 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization qualified to receive tax deductible donations. What that means to donors is a tax deduction for their used vehicle that may be worth more to them than the resale value of that vehicle. Just fill out and submit this form. Monetary Donations

  • Blight Busters is a registered 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization, and we look forward to applying any charitable donations you contribute to projects in which you are particularly interested.  We always invite our donors to watch the work in progress, meet our volunteers, and to talk with residents from the community in which the project is taking place.  Help keep a dream alive that enriches us all and revitalizes an entire community.
