Living Wheels is a born and bred Michigan company. It was incorporated on March 12, 2009 and started operations in November of 2009. Many of the metropolitan areas in Michigan do not have good mass transit systems, thus people really need an automobile if they are to be successful in achieving meaningful employment. An automobile also means being able to make it to the grocery store and doctor appointments. Those are the driving factors behind Living Wheels purpose, “Provide affordable transportation to qualified low income individuals at a sale price significantly below fair market value”.
Living Wheels is unique in that we have a direct relationship with our charity partners where they assist Living Wheels in promoting the car donation program in all their activities thereby lowering our advertising cost. This in turn increases the distribution from the sale of vehicles to our charity partners. They assist Living Wheels and Living Wheels assists them. This is truly a WIN – WIN situation for all concerned. Living Wheels researched very carefully the charities they have chosen to partner with. As Living Wheels is a Michigan based organization, they wanted their charity partners to be local, and to make a difference in the local communities.
