Living Wheels

Living Wheels is Michigan’s newest car donation program. In order to provide everyone with the correct information concerning Living Wheels, we have prepared this packet for our charity partners to utilize when they prepare any advertising / media materials on our behalf.

Living Wheels is a born and bred Michigan company. It was incorporated on March 12, 2009 and started operations in November of 2009. Many of the metropolitan areas in Michigan do not have good mass transit systems, thus people really need an automobile if they are to be successful in achieving meaningful employment. An automobile also means being able to make it to the grocery store and doctor appointments. Those are the driving factors behind Living Wheels purpose, “Provide affordable transportation to qualified low income individuals at a sale price significantly below fair market value”.

What separates Living Wheels from the rest of the car donation programs?

Living Wheels provides the opportunity for donors to utilize the Fair Market Value (i.e. Kelly Blue Book) as a deduction on their Federal Income Tax.
Living Wheels receives donations of vehicles which they in turn INSPECT, REPAIR (when possible), AND SELL AT A PRICE SIGNIFICANTLY BELOW FAIR MARKET VALUE.
Living Wheels has a relationship with a select group of charity partners who assist in promoting Living Wheels donations and sharing in the distribution of the sale proceeds.
